Nature's Safe for Future Generations
Although we would hope to prevent further decline of species populations through behavioural change and carbon reduction, 'Nature’s SAFE' is Europe’s only dedicated facility capable of the long-term storage of live cells from animal species that are at the greatest risk of extinction. Although this technology has existed for some time, this is the first time it has been used in this way, with unique cells being stored and preserved - in a living state - within a biological bank. The idea is that if you can bring the animal cell back to life, the animal itself can also be brought back to life. Keeping species numbers high and maintaining biodiversity is essential for carbon reduction, which many animals contribute to through their interactions with plants and trees.
